The PREVENTION THROUGH AWARENESS Project ACF/349 is being implementеd with a financial support of EUR 61,500 provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism. The purpose of the project is to analyze the coverage of the Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence in Bulgarian and Norwegian media, and communication campaign.
The topic of Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence (DVGBV) is gaining in popularity and the awareness of the need to make informed decisions leads to the search for more up-to-date and more comprehensive information on the topic. The purpose of thе project is to analyze on the coverage of for DVGBV in Bulgarian and Norwegian media by identifying relevant media for information retrieval, analyzing data, to enrich the data on the topic, present the role of the media in the topic of DVGBV, and communication campaign
The project will carry out a study on the coverage of the DVGBV in the media, which will enrich the information according to Specific objective 1 of the Thematic Priority № 4: Increasing the contribution of civil society organizations to gender equality and preventing gender-based violence.
A communication campaign will also be undertaken to involve various stakeholders in the analysis of the results and to disseminate the results. This way we will cover aslo specific objective 3. The main products (deliverables) of the project will be two analyzes and one report, a glossary of terms related to the topic and two communication events to engage stakeholders in the topic of DVGBV.
The main target groups are: NGOs working on the topic; Victims of gender-based violence and domestic violence; Media; Institutions; The general public.
