First results of comparative analysis within PTA project

The key findings of the analysis, focusing on the similarities and differences in the coverage of the topic of domestic and gender-based violence in the traditional media in Bulgaria and Norway, were published.

The in-depth analysis and expertise of Perceptica professionals outlined the limits of media coverage of the topic of violence, highlighting the key features of the published materials over the past year. Violence is a key topic in 8,660 materials, affecting its various forms and manifestations – sexual violence, physical, psychological, abuse, verbal violence, cyberbullying and others. The largest share of the conversation in the media space is represented by the articles in which the emphasis is on physical violence – 56%. Sexual assault ranks second with 31%.
