The violence reported in the print and online media takes place within the home. when the conversation touches on the topic of aggression in general, nearly 65% of the mentions concern the domestic environment. Nowadays, traditional media have become an important source of information and influence the raising, coverage and development of important topics. therefore, in order to present a more complete and comprehensive picture of the topic of domestic violence and gender-based violence, it is important to trace and analyze its coverage in the traditional media. As a basis for comparing the way the media cover the topic, Norway is taken as a country that has established and successfully tested practices in relation to the domestic violence and gender-based violence (DVGBV).
